About Troop 72

Here you will find many details about the troop and it operates. Whether you are a prospective scout or parent or an existing member of the troop, this is an ideal place for you to be. We're still in the process of building this area and really appreciate feedback.

Where we meet

Stratford United Methodist Church
2600 Main St
Stratford, CT

We meet from 6:45-8:30pm on Monday nights from September through June.

Monthly Outings

Each month the troop goes on an outing. Typically for these we leave on Friday evening and return on Sunday. These are usually campouts, adventures such as skiing, mountain biking, or climbing.

Summer camp

Troop 72 attends a week-long summer camp each year, often at Camp Sequassen, in New Hartford, CT.

High Adventure

In addition to the adventures each month, Troop 72 plans a High Adventure trip each summer. Recent trips include backpacking in Denali National Park in Alaska, kayaking for a week on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway in Maine, and backpacking along the Appalachian Trail in Great Smokey Mountain National Park in Tennessee.
